To also help bring yourself back into a normal sleep pattern, you bring your bedtime back 15 minutes a day, or every few days, so that eventually you are sleeping more normal hours, being night hours, and not daytime sleeping. Generally though, as for sleep in general, as you work out all your trauma, normally your sleep will begin to fall into place, and get better as your symptoms get better. One day your not sleeping, then you suddenly begin to realise that your not having nightmares anymore about your traumas, because they are all out and you have forgiven yourself and no longer keeping them secretive. Sleep is one of those things you can work on by itself, but will it really ever improve dramatically if you don't fix the major symptoms first? Not likely.
