Good question.

Since we had been to Hobart before, we sort of knew our way around so hubby had already decided his safe zones for when he was starting to feel overwhelmed. He wasn't afraid to use them either.

He had set himself little goals that he wanted to do while we were away & managed to achieve them.

In my person observation of hubby was for once he wasn't shy in saying, stuff it I need a break & took it.(We were traveling with another couple). To me that showed that he knew his limits for each day & when his cup got full, he told me & did what he could to calm himself down so he didn't crash the next day.
