A Godly Father

A father must be a reflection
Of our Heavenly Father above,
Providing these gifts to his children,
Of security, safety, and love.

A good father instructs his children
In ways Godly, and faithful, and wise,
Teaching God’s plan of redemption,
And that He will deliver their lives.

He comforts his tired, frightened children,
Holding them safe while life’s storms rage on,
Chasing monsters out of dark corners,
And forcing shadows across the lawn.
