As I mentioned in an earlier post, we told Evie about the family "secret" to enable her to continue in her healing process. She is dealing with certain issues surrounding the shooting, and last night was particularly difficult for her once again. She had nightmares off and on for the entire night, Jim was with her the whole time, he slept in the same room with her, and she insisted on having the light on the entire night. Even with the light on and Jim there however, she was constantly waking up in a panic. Really we are uncertain what to do other than be there for her and talk to her as much as she wishes. Now that the psychotic episode is over with, her anxiety levels are once again on the rise. Overall though we feel disclosing the secret was very positive, and will only help her in the long term. She has been visiting the forum briefly as well, which is good to see. And, she very much related to this cartoon, and asked me to attach it for her.
