Anna I agree with Veiled, I like the second argument a lot, but the first not so much. I have the diagnoses of PTSD and autism and I don't consider either of them labels really. In fact I'm glad to have official diagnoses in both cases, as it enables health professionals to treat me more effectively. And actually I disagree with calling trauma an "emotional difficulty". If you have PTSD, it's not simply an emotional difficulty, it's a neurobiological brain disorder. Your brain is altered permanently. |
