One of our neighbours' boys had been fooling with firecrackers earlier this evening, and two of them went off quite close to our house. Evie nearly jumped right out of her skin. She seemed to recover adequately however since going to bed she has had several nightmares and was crying and vomiting. Jim is with her now and I am exhausted however can't seem to go back to sleep. I am quite worried for her though it is Jim's night to be with her and he insists I rest.
