monstrous beast Monstrous Beast
A monstrous beast unfurled his wings
Across ever darkening sky.
Black, inky shrouds engulfed all life,
While silently, the beast slipped by.
As he then stretched from west to east,
Thunderous, evil laughter rolled,
And all the earth began to shake,
His seed of fear and darkness sowed.
Shaking trees bowed in submission,
Unable just to take a stand
Against a beast so dark and foul,
Yet thundered he a reprimand.
Began a fearsome battle then,
Between earth and the monstrous beast.
Great flashes arced from beast to ground…
Beast moaned aloud, his laughter ceased.
Finally, this battle over,
And monstrous beast made quick retreat.
Great tears then fell into the night,
While stormy beast fell to defeat. |
