Default Seasons

i write a lot of poetry when i'm down, but i wouldn't care to share it because it's too "dark". i've been trying to make myself write some things that are not reflective of my down mood. not a poet--something to keep my mind busy.

Seasons

Moonlight glimmers on winter snow.
Around bare trees the cold winds blow.
Icicles drip on snowy ground,
And snowflakes fall without a sound.

Crocus blooms push through melting snow.
Springtime blades of green will follow.
Trees dressed in soft green ruffled lace.
Songbirds sing with excited pace.

Summer warms emerald earth once more,
Children frolic in waves on shore.
Scorching sand and curling sea foam.
Exhausted children carried home.

Autumn quilt of bright forests blend,
Leaves dancing, whirling on the wind.
When last leaves are finally down,
Small feet go crunching on the ground!
