As my husband says, it definitely is a code that young people use to try and get away with things. It is well worth a parents' efforts to learn the slang as much as possible, Jim and I certainly have invested the time to learn it and it has paid off, especially with our 3 youngest children. Though I do agree with my husband Doug; I have not seen much netspeak used here. Which thread(s) are you referrring to?
