I do exactly the same. I have learnt now -to always park my car in the same place when I go to the supermarket or to the shopping centre.

I am supposed to remember so many codes at work - one to get through the door, one to the store cupboard, one to the drug cupboard, another code for controlled drugs etc, etc- the list is endless. I think my colleagues get sick of reminding me of certain numbers/codes! Not to mention remembering everyone's name - it's a good job we have our name attached to our uniforms, or I may forget my own lol!

It's strange because I can 'automatically' enter codes, if I'm not 'thinking'; but if I literally 'try to remember', then my mind is a blank!

I think I have learnt that I can be a bit of a scatter brain. At least we can see the funny side of this. (I'm sorry that this episode lead to a sleepless night though - that is all too familiar)
