I definitely see the recession in my area, and I live in a major metropolitan area which usually has an abundance of jobs. Housing prices here have dropped for the first time in 20 years. There are foreclosures all over the place.

I can barely cover my mortgage and my credit card is maxed out, mostly because it's so expensive to live here (my mortgage is about 70% of my monthly take-home pay). Not making excuses, I've made my bed and I'll lie in it. But I definitely hope things look up soon. I'm hoping to hang on until the market bounces back and I can sell the house without a loss.
