I really like your outlook on what the USA needs to do in order to get our country back. One of the major problems with regards to actually making that happen is that so many people who consider themselves politically "conservative", consider themselves such because of social policies. Yet, so many of those same people live in the poorest parts of our country and will continue to vote conservatively.

I'm amused that in order to bring this country out of a recession, the government will be issuing checks in order to stimulate the economy, meaning they need people to shop instead of save. And who do you think will shop instead of save? Poor people - because they live check to check and need to buy groceries or what have you. Those who are not in such a predicament will save that money or pay down a loan. So the government allowed people to get taken advantage of, and now that it has back fired, they want to put money in the hands of the same people they screwed in the first place because we are dependent upon them to get us out of a recession. So who really has control over our destiny? WE do. If only more people would stand up and stop the lunacy, get their heads on straight and stop allowing BS social policies dictate their political affiliations. Because Roe V Wade will NEVER be overturned. Gay people WILL continue to be together no matter what society says.

The USA practices neo-slave-labor. Visit a place called Indiantown, Florida, where Mexicans live in row-house ghettos that consists of a room with a bunk-bed in it and nothing else. These people living in those ghettos work in the orange groves during the day, off the books, making next to nothing. They don't pay into medicare or social security. Their employers don't pay into unemployment. Just another example as to why this country is in debt.

Just my opinion, of course.

Best,
Rachel
