Anyone else see Dr. Laura on the Today show yesterday, plugging her new book? Stop Whining and Start Living

Is she even a real doctor???????

She sounded JUST like my old therapist.

"We should all face up to our past experiences and simply move on. Compare ourselves to others who have it much worse than us. Stop moping around and self indulging ourselves!"

Oh my God!!! She really pissed me off!!! I was working out at the gym, and made a subtle comment about how her generalizations of people isn't accurate. That there are some circumstances where "just moving on", and "comparing yourself to someone worse" is NOT healthy for a person. The woman next to me totally disagreed with me, and felt "Dr. Laura" knew what she was talking about!

Give me a break!!!!

Sorry for venting, but she hit a nerve in me.
