Oddly, but I guess sort of luckily, here our government medical plan only covers mental health care by people with specific qualifications. In most situations this means only a psychiatrist is covered (psychologists and Social Workers are covered if they work in a government facility only). Which means fortunately, that you can't accidentally end up getting someone with a twelve week course who thinks they can help you. But it also means there can be waiting lists.
