I had an excellent in-patient, followed by an extensive out-patient program at Four Winds. They have several centers here in the US. They develop DBT skills with you and help you to develop personal life plans to manage your life. The out patient was very important, it helped me to transition back into my life with the support. At one point I did get overwhelmed and went in-patient again for two days. I use the DBT skills everyday. In-patient was geared to education, med management, diagnosis, and personal planning.

I was hospitallized two other times, they kept me safe and managed my meds, a little education, but not much to take home and no support afterwards.

What I have always found difficult in hospitallizations is the lack of PTSD focus within the population of patients. I can't believe I was the only one. From what I read about the Florida Location, that is their specialty. Now, that I think would be valuable to participate in.
