This has been split from the information thread Diet for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS or IB) for discussion.

I was taken to the hospital a few weeks ago. I am now seeing a gastro and believe I have IBS. It matches my history. I have never treated it but am now in a corner to set things right or continue with the many symptoms.

I haven't researched it yet but - What sets it off?

Also, I have high blood pressure and when I have been taken to the ER my blood pressure bottoms out to the point it was not even readable by two nurses and 3 paramedics. They couldn't believe I was even conscious.

Has anyone else done this?
