Default He Holds Me Here

this one's kind of down, but it's a feeling that many of understand.

He Holds Me Here

When my soul cries out for home
On this earth no more to roam;
When sorrow o'erwhelms my heart
From this world I would depart.

Freedom from this pain I'll feel
Strange that it's no longer real.
Self-important I've become....
This body's tired, my mind is numb.

Children and my husband dear
Only their love keeps me here.
I don't want to hurt them so,
But to my LORD would I go.

Feeling that I'm left behind...
Nothing here can ease my mind.
I've wasted much these last years,
Crying vain and pointless tears.

But, surrendered to God's will
On this earth, He holds me still.
