Well what can i say, I lead a normal life with a little help from PTSD and all that comes with it, a wee bit of depression, a touch of anxiety, throw in the odd panic attack.
And a weekly visit to my Psychologist a monthly appointment to my Psychiatrist its a wonder things get a little blue every now and then. But being the trooper that i am, im tough on the outside i can do it , i can carry on.
Yes i can carry on, (with a lot of f---en help from my wife Jods) I made a deal with myself just after my accident that i would try to make someone each day smile or laugh, because of the trauma i suffered.
As I post my stories and not so tall tales I seem to make people smile and laugh without trying.
So id just like to say thank you to all that i have made smile and laugh because you have made me fulfil one of my dreams.
Oh yes and dont think for a moment im gona stop. Cheers Nugget

Nugget, you normally bring tears of laughter to my eyes but after reading this I have tears for being so touched by your goal and achieving your dream.
Feel free to keep making me laugh as I love coming here to read what you write.:thumbs-up

Thank you Rob. As you fill your goal, you fill me with laughter. It's a rare thing and I so appreciate it!
It's a beautiful goal and one that has helped me plenty of times.

Rob, you do make others laugh... but please ensure you make yourself atleast laugh daily. Some of the shit we face mate, we just need to laugh about it at times IMHO. Great work...

I too love your jokes Rob, and I have very much appreciated our friendship over the past few months. You and Jodee have really cheered me during rough times lately and I hope I have cheered you up sometimes too.

You have a marvelous sense of humour Rob, and your friendship to Evie has been so wonderful for her, you have no idea. I am delighted to know she has helped you in a similar fashion.
Hi Nugget,
I like your humor. You sound familiar- that's why I'm writing to you.
Please help.
My boyfriend has ptsd. He survived something very tragic 6 years ago.
He is the sweetest man in the world with a great sense of humor, but our relationship has been falling apart since he started therapy in . May he's doing some EMDR, and body work. I support his therapy totally. He started the therapy to help our relationship, but we seem to be falling apart. i want to help him as much as i can, but he is starting to shut me out. He feels like he's going crazy.
I keep looking for books to find out what I should do. I've ordered stuff on amazon. I don't know if you know if any sites, books, or people who can help me. You said your wife was a tremendous support- did you guys go through anything that I'm describing. I just want him to get better.. but i don't want to lose him.
Can you advise in anyway?
Jodie

Hey Jodie, would love to help in any way if i can, the old relationship sure does get tested. Just a quick note to let you know ive seen you post and shall reply later. Hang in their.
Cheers Rob.
Hi Jodie,
I'm nugget's wife, Jodee. My first piece of advice is that you must make sure that you see someone to help you deal with what is going on with your situation. Believe me, it helps!
You are off to a great start by trying to learn as much as you can. Come on over to the carers section, we are a friendly bunch!
Take care of yourself & hope to hear from you soon!

Now dont be shy Jodie, everybody here can help in there own little way not sure what i can do , but their is a lot to read and as Jods said the carers section could be just the spot.
