OMG I had no idea Mum (Kathy) started this thread! I just about had a heart attack when I saw my name in General Chat... seriously I thought I was in trouble for a second!!! Phew...

I just came on here briefly because I can't sleep yet again... WOW what a surprise, thanks everyone for the wishes, I really appreciate it! Nice to know people are thinking of me. I had a wonderful day, a nice party with my family, and I am all hyped up still because of my presents. I am such a geek! ;)

Thanks again everyone!

Oh wow thanks again everyone for the birthday wishes!! Sorry Rob, there is no cake left, you guys wouldn't any though anyways because my little nephews were slobbering all over it and squishing the icing with their grubby little hands. They totally demolished it. Blech haha.

I feel weird saying what I got for a present but I am still totally stoked about it so... I got a CAR!!! OMG!!! A Mini Cooper-S. That's like my favourite car, it's the one I was saving up for. I've been so overly excited and hyper ever since, I've had trouble sleeping, it's been really bad!! I can't drive my car right now due to being ill, but Dad did take me for a ride in it today as a passenger, and I sat in it for a couple of hours listening to CDs. I wanted to sleep in it tonight but Mum wouldn't let me as I could get a chill. Ah well. I'm just sooo totally excited and I hope I can start driving again soon! I really want my license now.

Jen, 8 people?? If your mini was anything like Evie's that is quite the accomplishment. Sounds rather like a circus act!

well, the record was 17 people in a phonebooth.

Ah yes 2quilt now you are refreshing my memory, back in the late 60s, early 70s I believe? Piling into small cars and phone booths was a fad of sorts...

Happy belated birthday.

Wow Evie, very cool car!

Um... in the early 90's we fit I think 16 people in one of those.. I was the top person (or the 16th) as I was the smallest to squish in. Almost broke the record.. hehe

Cool beans on the ride, Evie!!!! You'll be burning donuts in the yard in no time. Or on second thought, you might want to leave the yard before you do that.

Congrats!

Kathy and Jim,
I see that you give Very Nice birthday gifts, so I am putting myself up for adoption. You need one more daughter! I am cute as a button, I am also humble, low mileage, great teeth, I tell great jokes, I cook gourmet to order, I machine quilt, and I love cats. I have already been through all my education. Money back if not completely delighted. You can't get that deal on just any child. Aren't I adorable?

Batting my eyelashes,

Haha 2quilt. :) Though I have to warn you, before you sign any contracts with Mum and Dad make sure you read the fine print! ;) It's not all presents and fun around here. We live in the country on 32 acres, and we have sheep and goats, and it's a TON of work. If you were here and physically healthy you would be expected to help out, which means getting up at 4 am to shovel shit (literally) and feed the animals and so on. It's typical to do about 2 hours of work before breakfast. It takes about 4 hours to mow the lawn, our garden is huge, we have to trap and kill moles and other pests, in winter we have to plow our road ourselves... we and our neighbours share a small snow plow... and we get piles of show here. That's just a few of things that have to be done around here. So I guess I'm saying prepared to be put to work!! ;)

hmmm...I don't like snow. A blizzard in Albuquerque does not cover the grass and the streets are dry by suppertime. That's why I moved here.
How about if I just sign up as a part-time adoptee? How are the summers? I could sit on the plastic-covered snow plow and throw food to the sheep.

Just kidding, Evie.

I am excited; for the next two weeks, the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta is on, and I live so close that I can sit in my yard and watch it.
Balloon Fiesta dot com take out all the spaces.
You should come visit me instead!

Oh that's no problem Lisa, thank you for the belated birthday wishes, I really appreciate it!

That's funny 2quilt that you hate the cold, as I am the opposite, I hate the heat! ;) Anything above 23 C (about 75 F) is too hot for me. My favourite weather is about 12 C (54 F) and overcast. The sun kind of bothers me too for some reason. Always has. I am weird that way I guess! Most people like the heat and sun. Hmm I should do a poll about not liking the sun...
