Suggestions on Hypnosis

I have therapy this morning. I haven't been seen for 10 days and that session was with my husband. A few weeks ago before I totally lost it, I asked my therapist how do I deal with the events of my childhood that I can't remember. She said with hypnosis. Is it suggested that I start this when Ive been this unstable. I know that she will answer this question for me but really wanted some feedback from those that have been where I am.
