I am years into ptsd treatment. Thought I was past it and had been free of most symptoms a long time. Then several months ago started having constant flashbacks and other severe symptoms. Discovery of more severe abuse from early in my childhood has come. Have had to deal with traumatic amnesia and dissociation in the last few months. Shaken by the sudden reappearance of symptoms but at least it is over new issues and not the old ones. Working hard with my therapist to get through this hard time.
