Chronic PTSD Looking For Support

Hi,
I am in Pa.
Chronic ptsd veteran,southeast asia.1974-75.
My ptsd was triggered when I visited the wall in DC.
I have lost not only the person I used to be but my fiance' and facing eviction.
I am a dog lover and believe in god.
Having a great deal trouble understanding how this site works.Part of that is having ad ptsd for eight months as well as having NO SUPPORT GROUP.We are only as strong as our support group.
I was referred to this site by an on line angel with much wisdom about vets with ptsd.
Would like to have anyone confirm via email that this message is the correct place to begin.

I understand that you may be anxious at present, though if you slowly read through the topics in the "new member (http://www.ptsdforum.org/forum45.html)" forum, you will get a full understanding of how the forum works, especially as a new member.

Forums can be quite complex if you're not used to them, and it takes time for you to learn. Once you do though, you will be just fine. Keep posting and talking here, and people will respond. Read threads and respond to them if relevant to yourself.... you will find the support and understanding needed here.
