View Full Version : I Spent the Night in a House by Myself!!

This has always been one of my biggest hurdles and I did it! I've had to do it before, but it typically involved staying up most of the night, panic attacks and vomiting. I was able to do it without all of that!! It took a little help from Xanax and I did have some nightmares and fear, but I did it!
I visit the dentist tomorrow (my worst phobia) and I am hopeful that it goes as well as last night.
I feel like facing them both in the same few days was probably not the best idea, but I am so tired of being afraid of being afraid.

Another person that fears the dentist! I thought it was just me! i really am in need of some serious dental care....hope your visit goes well.
Also...just moved back into a house from an apartment....one week.....no security at the front door. So far so good...thank goodness.

My goal is to one day be able to have the freedom to live by myself, but I am going to take it one step at a time.

Being in the house alone overnight is something I really struggle with too. Sounds like you did well, congratulations!

That's great, Working! I have this problem, too. Good luck with the dentist.

Great, I to am afraid of the dentist but I push myself to go every 6 months or so. If I don't, I have reoccuring nightmares that my teeth are falling out.

I feel like I shouldn't post this in the success section. I never made it to the dentist. There was some family drama about it that morning and I was completely hysterical. The dentist was just not an option after that. I am going to give it another go sometime soon.

One accomplishment per day is plenty!
You did succeed getting through the night by yourself so i vote that you get a hug!
