I also spent some time in the back of Dustoff helo as a flight medic! I was in Bosnia in '96 and Iraq in '05. In Bosnia I was near Caparde and Zvornik. In Iraq I was in Ramadi.

I've been diagnosed with moderate PTSD. I've been bouncing around VA groups for the past year. One that's really helped is at the Vetcenter called Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy or REBT. It's helped me, but I don't know if it's for everyone.

Best of luck to you all!

Hi dustoffdoc!

Welcome! And thank you so much for what you've done in your service. I'm glad you've found something that helped and sought help in the first place.

Your an inspiration.

Hi Doc...welcome!!

HOOAH!! Don't know your branch of service; but I used to hear that in every movie theater growing up. Of course, it was Army/Marines.

Hey Doc,

Welcome, I'm new here too. I was in Kosovo in '01, and twice to Iraq OIF 1 from Feb. 03-Feb. 04 and OIF 05-07 from Oct. 05-Oct. 06. I'm an 11B currently going through the med board process. One thing that really helped me was the VA's Cohort Program. It's a six week program with group and individual therapy and classes. It was very helpful especially with learning coping skills. It's available to all vets with a diagnoses of PTSD and I highly recommend it.

Thank you and welcome,
