My therapist referred me to a psychologist who specializes in Biofeedback and I had my first session last week for all the anxiety I have been experiencing especially concerning the new job at work. It went really well but only in the office. I do not know why but I cannot seem to make the anxiety go away. It is as though the panic has become chronic because I wake up with it. I think I will go back for more because the panic attacks and startle response as well as the general anxiety tends to take over one's life:eek:

I wish you luck with this and hope the anxiety subsides.

Bio feedback will take more than one session just like any thing you try to learn. You will learn to recognize and control in time, that is the idea. The fact it went well in office first time is amazing! You will be doing well in no time. I wake with it too and do well at controlling it so I know it can be done. Good luck.

Thanks for the support. I hope it doesn't take too long, but thenagain I ave lived a long time with the anxiety. It is a part of me, but I have to tame it.

dshanks,
I have had biofeedback many times and feel so refreshed afterwards but the feeling doesn't last. One needs practise, practise and practise. Get some relaxation tapes and try it at home.
