Retraumatization - how do you come back?

Posted 24-03-2008 at 08:11 AM by Cindy
This year at work I shared a classroom with someone who triggered me everyday, m-f 7:30 - 4 until Jan. 30 when he was officially dismissed from employment. There were atleast three times I thought, Oh - here comes the hospital again. I took 8 days off in Dec.

OK, survived it again. Now how do I get back from the edge again? I want to rewind to August. I just feel all blown apart again and can't get my feet under me for any length of time, not even a whole day.

Anyone...

Enlighten me!

Posted 16-03-2008 at 05:56 PM by morgan
For my first blog I decided to write my first and only published poem. I think it must've been influenced by my PTSD. What do you guys think?

Where is my Buddha?
Where is my light?
Where are my angels
that come in the night?
Where is my saviour?
Where is my hope?
Where is my invite
to drink with the Pope?
Where is my sunlight?
Where is my day?
Why does my God
seem so far away?
Where are the answers?
Where...

Warning: This contains my opinions on this matter. If you are not comfortable with political discussion or cannot do it in a respectful manner, perhaps reading the rest of this post is not a good idea. Having said that, I welcome comments and other points of view.

Let me start with John McCain...As far as Republicans go, I respect him more than probably any other...

Cool Joke!

Posted 02-03-2008 at 09:17 AM by Lisa
A linguistics professor was lecturing his English class one day. "In English," he said, "a double negative forms a positive. In some languages, though, such as Russian, a double negative is still a negative. However, there is no language wherein a double positive can form a negative."

A voice from the back of the room piped up, "Yeah, right.”
