Japanese Chicken Wings

Posted 14-10-2007 at 11:13 PM by Kathy
Japanese Chicken Wings

This is delicious and easy, and when made correctly much better than restaurant wings!

Chicken:

3 lbs chicken wings and drummettes
1 beaten egg
1 cup flour
1 cup butter or margarine

Sauce:

3 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp water
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Dip wings and drummettes in slightly beaten egg and then in flour. Fry in butter until deep brown and crisp. Place in a shallow roasting pan. Thoroughly mix ingredients for sauce and pour over chicken. Bake covered for 1 1/2 hours, basting occasionally.
