The Phobosopher's Blog

Posted 20-01-2008 at 10:37 AM by reallydown
Hello all...I am also new to this whole blog thing...so I shall have to do a little bit at a time...I have just started one for a class...but that's a whole other story. As for the name...I couldn't come up with anything goo dat the moment...and I am not a philosopher...in fact, I have been rather freaked out by some of the stuff that has historically passed for wisdom and the effects it has had on our world etc...and hence the perhaps somewhat outdated "phobosopher"...Ok...I figure that's enough for the first post...

Welcome RD! Great that you've started your blog... it's good fun :)

I actually love the name. Had to read it twice, thought I read it wrong which kind of makes it fun for a name :)

Welcome to the blogs, RD!!

Have to admit ignorance, and laziness, here, though - what does "phobosopher" mean?

Thanks Hodge!

No worries...I think "phobosopher" might be a neologism (or quasi-neologism? since both phob and sopher have been around waaay longer than yours truly)...Ok...so since philosopher is a wisdom lover...a 'phobosopher' is afraid of wisdom....which makes me sound rather stupid LOL But I sort of explain that in the first post :)

Oh, now I get it -haha. Thanks. I'm a bit slow sometimes ;) No, I think it sounds like a rather wise position given some of the stuff out there.

Oh dear...I just googled phobosopher and some stuff came up...I had no idea...I used it as part of a title for one of the papers I did last year...And there I was...thinking I was original or something hahaha
