Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now.

Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year.

Sweet Mistakes

I used to listen to Ellis Paul in my later college years. I'd jack my headphones into the lab computer and log on to his site:

Free MacGyver!!! Wahoo!!!!

So I was poking around cbs.com, and I discovered a whole bunch of free on-demand MacGyver episodes!!! Well this should keep my busy on rainy days... and with any luck, I'll learn how my toothpaste can diffuse warheads!

Critics of the Mental Health Industry

Below are a number of speeches given by professionals who are harsh critics of different aspects of the mental health industry. While they tend to be some of the more radical critics, they challenge their listeners to think critically about their world. I found the last two to be quite funny.

Fake Cell Phone Calls

Came across an odd website yesterday:

The idea is you submit your phone number, and at a preselected time you receive a phone call with an automated message. The idea is that the fake phone call will make you seem more important to people within earshot.

Sad thing is, back in college I used to know a few people who would play these kinds of games. You know what I'm talking about... announcing who they're talking to quite loudly?...
