Sweet Mistakes

Posted 20-04-2008 at 08:55 AM by upstream
I used to listen to Ellis Paul in my later college years. I'd jack my headphones into the lab computer and log on to his site:
http://www.ellispaul.com/radio.html

It was relaxing music to work to. My favorite song was Sweet Mistakes.

Quote:
Bless your sweet mistakes,
That crumbled you down to your knees.
That brought you to this place
Changing you by degrees...
When change was just what you needed...
What you needed...

So if you live your life in a three piece suit,
In a cocktail dress, or combat boots
You pick your path, you walk your truth
And the world will come round to you.
I love how the song champions the blunders and dark times in our lives, and the idea of turning a negative into a positive. I also like the idea of resolving to blaze your own path in life.
