Default Basic Meditation for Emotions

This is the first step in using meditation to help with controlling emotions.

All you have to do is observe the emotion.

For example:

You feel angry. Observe that you are angry.

Do not judge it (as in, I shouldn't feel this way or why do I feel this way, or I should feel this way.) Do not try to do something with it (don't try to stop feeling that way or release the emotion or escape from it.) Do not try to figure out why you are feeling that way (don't look for the reasons, it doesn't matter why you are mad, even if it's from a trigger, flashback etc..)

Now that you have observed your feeling, Observe where it's affecting your body.

For example:

Your angry. Does this make your shoulders tense? Are you shaking? Do you clench your teeth? Etc..

Again do not try to do anything about it. Just OBSERVE It.

This will help you to become aware of both your emotions and how it affects your body.
