Default Understanding What Public Means Upon the Internet

Ok, I am getting tired of this nonsense that forever goes on upon this forum. This is mentioned time and time again in posts throughout this forum where people discover themselves in a search engine from this forum.

This forum is a "public" forum. Look up the meaning off public and you will discover that it is available to everyone. That means the content you post here is available to everyone, with the exception of the following forums:
  1. Private PTSD
  2. Private Carer
  3. Private Trauma Diary
  4. PTSD Trauma Diary
  5. Members Trauma Diary
The above forums are not accessible by search engines because they are hidden from public view, which means if they are not available to be read by the public, then they are not available to be searched by a public search engine.

This information is contained within the legal policy which everyone has been advised to read time and time again, this question has popped up throughout the forum time and time again from people requesting to have their posts removed because they found themselves in a search engine.

For those less web savvy members, the simple gist is this; what you post online will be searched by a search engine unless it is not discoverable to a search engine, ie. the above forums which are also clearly stated as not searchable to the public.

I do not care about requests to remove content because you found yourself in Google. I have never hid this from any member, in fact I am sick and tired of having to tell members over and over that what you post here will be searchable to the world with the above exceptions.

As the legal policy clearly states, and I will now emphasize: if you do not agree to the legal policy then your only choice is to leave this forum immediately and not participate.

Sorry for my frustration through that post, though I am really am just becoming tired of peoples laziness. Read legal policy people, read relevant threads that we put in front of you to read outlining all the questions that keep getting asked time and time again. I am just about ready to close all posting and implement a strict moderated procedure for new threads, so people stop posting the same questions over and over again, instead are made to go read.

Again, sorry for the frustration in this post, but I really am becoming quite frustrated with it all at the moment, especially from members who have been here a year and discover through Google their post in Chat PTSD is public for the world to find. Like duh... offcourse its public, because that is a public forum. You post in public, you get more answers in public, and it is read by the public, being the world. You post in private, you get less responses in private because nobody else than a limited handful can see your post.

Again, sorry.... I am becoming quite frustrated by all this.
