Default I Don't Have Bipolar or OCD it's All PTSD

HI my current diagnosis is Bipolar/OCD and PTSD>

Im very frustrated right now, because, I dont believe I have OCD or Bipolar. There is a reason I get so depressed, its because of the guilt I have about surviving a car wreck and my ex b friend dying, and all the other stuff thats happened. I only check doors at night because I was I had my privacy invaded growing up, I only freak out about having my room clean because one time when I was 6 and I didnt I got beat up and ended up at the hospital having stitches.

These are just a few examples of many more.

Im very frustrated.

Im seeing my therapist today. I have written all this down and Im going to let her read it. This will be my 3rd therapist session ever.

Im happy to hear that your writing these things down to show your therapist. Having been in therapy for years, it took me a while to commit to writing things down, and honestly, once i did...it helped alot to navigate threw the mixture of emotions i was having. So good for you...your off to a great start just by doing that in advance. Another issue of therapy i fought for a while was joining a weekly group. I was just too embarrassed etc. Once i gave into my kind ole therapist Janice and finally joined...well, it was incredible the insight it gave me into so many of my issues. Plus, after all the initial fears of group wore off...it was actually a refuge come tuesday afternoons to attend. also...to this day i still have friendships formed out of our group and the support is still as vaulable. just a few thoughts i wanted to share. Good luck on your journey...wish you much love

The bipolar label is hard to shake. Hope your counselor works out well for you. You have the right to be treated for what you want help for.
