| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | | |

| | I had another thought. She may be feeling pressure about what to get you and her grandma for Christmas. This IS the Biggest Christmas in a very long time, I am guessing. We all feel pressure right about now about if our gift will be the right one, is it good enough, will she like it, will it cost enough, will my gift equal what she gets me, what is my gift 'saying' to her, on and on. (Daughter may have PTSD too...) Your daughter may be sick with worry right now. If she is sensitive, you really don't know what to expect. We really don't know what's going on, so, until we do know the truth, and what her grandma said to her, and how she took it, and how she is reacting to the whole thing, just keep breathing slowly and calmly. Try to keep your blood pressure normal. You know that anything she gives you , you will adore, but she wants to make the best impression possible, and so you can imagine how she must feel right about now, right? |

| | I have wrapped up and sealed the package I need to send to my daughter and it is ready for shipment. ASll of you seem to think it is a good idea to send it so I am. There are no "strings" attached to it either!
I included photos of my grandparents with explanations of who they are so she will have some sense of family history. In fact, I included a lot of her history!
I did write and include a letter to her about how much she is loved and missed and how happy we were to hear from her. Tryed to keep it from being to pushy or anything. How do you ask to see the new baby and meet the son-in-law without it sounding pushy.
Well, we will see what happens. The ball will be in her court soon enough. Wish me luck. |

I pray your holiday season is all you want it to be and that you are able to enjoy it. We are all under stress this time of year, but I am here to tell you that this holiday is one I will never forget.
Last night I figured out how to email my baby photos to a local walmart so they can be printed. It is hard to carry around a computer just to show off the new baby! Plus you need to realize that I am not just gadget challenged I am gadget stupid. So managing to get this task done well--- was my little miracle, so to speak.
So, now I am off to the store to get my hands on the pictures of MY NEW GRANDBABY. Oh, there are lots of shots of my daughter! A sight I have not see in a very long time and she looks great, even though she had just given birth to a 9 pound 11 ounce kid!
HAPPY HOLIDAY EVERYONE FROM A VERY HAPPY GRAMA-HERC | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
