| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | |

| | Forum Changes 2008 As with many changes I have done, I have given many lots of warning to expect downtime from the forum. Once again, as technology changes and better options come around, I have a final solution to all my video issues and have chosen to host all that nonsense in its own website, a "myspace" type domain except only for those with PTSD, carers and family off.
This just fixes many many issues with servers and the like, where I will close down the chat system here and for those who want their own "my PTSD space" type profile on the new site, they can choose to do so. This forum then remains focused on the job of healing, the other site focuses on the chit chat live talk, video conferencing, etc aspects.
It will all become more prevalent as I finalize each aspect and release them. The new site has a myspace approach where you can have all your groups, albums, upload and listen to music, share music, watch videos, upload your own short videos to share, etc etc.... all lots of good interactive stuff. You can email one another through it, etc.
The site will work through an exclusive manual admission process, where a person must meet certain criteria here first before being given a profile on the other site, which helps with personal security from predators.
More to come.... |

| | So members know I haven't forgotten about this.... the other site is now complete in the sense of build.... not look as yet. It has taken quite some time to get applications functioning correctly, etc etc.... that was all finalized just yesterday after many issues.
As I have other things to do over the next month, I doubt I will get much time in designing the site.... but that is all I have left to do now. The base structure all works, video, audio, video chat, photo albums, etc etc.
That site will be secure and an invite only website, which means no search engines will be able to spider content and only members will be able to view in depth the content posted, ie. watch videos, listen to music, chat, etc. |
