Ok, thanks Kim for revising... he is the updated version:

Quote:
Spammers Take Notice
PTSD Forum is heavily moderated, and all new users are automatically placed into moderation for their initial posting history, which means simply: the public cannot see your spam when you post it, only a moderator who will be removing it. In essence, you're the only person wasting your time, as it only takes 3 clicks of the mouse to ban and remove your entire posting history, all without the public or members viewing your spam. Waste your time if you want.

Member Initial Posting
Because of the above implications of Internet spammers, your initial posting history will begin in moderation. This means when you create a new thread (topic), or reply to an existing thread (topic), your thread / post will disappear once you click "submit". The information is still there, you just cannot see it, nor can the public. A moderator will approve your postings as you make them, which will allow your posts to then become public. There is no time limit set on being in moderation as such. You will come out of moderation once a moderator is happy that you are a legitimate forum member, not a spammer. Please do not take offense to this as it is merely to keep our members safe from the Internet predators that lurk this forum looking for an opportunity to exploit themselves, or even as has already been found, sexual predators wishing to expose members' vunerabilities, ie. rape sadists. Remember, this is not personal against you, so please write as you normally would and your posts will become public as a moderator approves them. Once a moderator is happy with your posting history and legitimacy, you will be moved to the registered members group which will take you out of moderation. You cannot request to come out of moderation.

Member Code of Conduct
  1. All members are allowed their opinion, neither right nor wrong, and a person's opinion must be respected.
  2. As per (1), no member is to attack another member because of their opinion, or failure to accept another's opinion.
  3. No member has a crystal ball, so don't guess or think you know what another is thinking; simply ask or clarify if a response is taken the correct way.
  4. All members may vent, yell, rant, rave, etc. etc., however; none of which at any time is to be directed towards another member. There is a difference in venting anger vs. venting anger at another member.
  5. Individuals who continue to act in ways deemed detrimental to other members of PTSD Forum may be banned or restricted from future postings.
  6. Posts deemed disruptive to the overall nature of PTSD Forum may be removed at the discretion of the moderator.
  7. Suicidal posts are not to be made. Talking about suicidal ideation is one thing, consuming a community's attention to suicidal posts is another. Posts about pending suicide will be removed immediately.
  8. When wrong or in doubt, step back to evaluate, and say sorry or clarify. Simple isn't it?
