DoD is on a distinguished road
Default Hi I'm a New Member

Hi! My name is Naomi
I am from Alabama, I spent a lot of my child hood in southern Calif. and currently reside in Florida
I am married to active duty Millitary, 2 special needs children and I love them very much!
I was diagnosed with PTSD about three years ago and retired from the disability from the DoD.
I am a survivor but find myself unable to talk about my experience.
I recently spent time in a psych ward after having an episode.
I want to get my life back and I want to keep my family
Due to physical illnesses and chronic pain (botched c section surgery) I depend on my family a great deal, I want to get better
so they can be able to depend on me again and I can be happy again.
Although it is extremely painfull I isolate myself because of constant fear.
Somehow people that like to hurt other people always find me and dig in.
Although I try to forget the past, the memories always find me, even when I try to sleep.

Hello Naomi! Welcome. You have made a good start by posting your introduction. There is lots to learn on this forum. Lots of people with great insight on boths sides of the fence (both sufferer and carer). Anyway, keep up the good work and take care of yourself!

Naomi,
Welcome and remeber your not alone in your feelings. I tend to isolate myself as well. All the users seem to find me so I screen my door and phone calls. I don't like being alone but would chose it over the drama.
