Default I Think My Hubby Has PTSD

My husband has +11 years of military service. Two years ago he was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor. He has since had two surgeries and radiation. He is now facing retirement.

He is also the stepfather to my 11 year old daughter. I find that he loses his patience with her often and isolates himself from us a lot. He can spend days at a time in his room. He has very little patience, has trouble sleeping, and he cannot deal with people out in public. He also has a new infatuation with other medical problems. I feel like he is a hypochondriac now.

He has not been diagnosed with PTSD but based on what I have read it seems like he has it. I am looking for help to explain to my daughter why he acts the way that he does. I was looking for a book...Explaining PTSD to Children but I guess that it has not been written yet.

It is really hard dealing with him. He is short with me often. In the begining I just let him act anyway. But two years has worn on me. Now when he is rude to me I am rude right back. I realize that he has a problem but I can only take so much. I want him to realize the way he talk to me.

I can go on and on...I just wanted to introduce myself. :)
