Hey Everyone, My name is Lauren and I have PTSD. I am also Bipolar, with a borderline personality disorder. It is really amazing to have found a community of people who have the same as I do, because I have felt so alone in this experience, which I'm sure you all know can make the situation a lot worse. My family and friends have no clue exactly what PTSD is, so they always tell me "it's all over now, it will get better" or "why are you doing this to yourself? You are just dragging this all through the mud when it doesn't need to be that way." When it isn't that easy. If I could snap my fingers and change the event that I went through that caused me to have this disorder I would, but it is impossible. I do take medication for this, but medication can only help so much. And lately the symptoms have been pretty difficult to control. I'm not too sure if I am allowed to give my e-mail address through the forums or even through the website anywhere but I would love to hear from anyone who would like to just talk or maybe share experiences and share advice with eachother. I'm loving, caring, and will open my arms and my heart to each and every one of you!
