| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | |

| | Stupid Computers Just wanted to vent.
I tried to install my webcam on my PC and the bloody thing crashed. So I dragged out my laptop (which hasn't seen the light of day since July) and have spent the last two hours jumping between the two, upgrading, installing, uninstalling, cleaning up, defraging... GRRRRRR.
So the laptop is working just fine and my PC is still acting like a piece of crap.
I swear its the kids. They are not allowed to even breathe on my laptop and I never have problems with this. Yet, they are on the PC all the time and it's a constant headache..
K, all done my ranting now. I feel better. LOL

| | Bec,
That is funny. Anthony is the computer geek in our house and fixes all of the problems. He has his computer, I have my laptop and the teenager has to ask permission before he even breathes near Anthony's computer. If he had his way, no one would ever touch the damn thing!! |

When I got my laptop my first decision was no one is going near it. I get so sick of fixing the computer, that I needed one that was my "sanctuary." LOL
It's actually saved me a few major fights too. I can just turn this on, flip on my headphones and ignore the fight!!

| | Its simple for me... nobody is allowed to download or install any games, applications, online chat, blah blah blah.... because games are synonomous for creating software conflictions. |

Kids have their own computer, sitting right next to our desktop. The internet access is blocked for them; we have to unlock it. Downloads are too. That's the way I like it. :loopy: They are used to it now and don't give us any crap about it; they know they'll lose computer privileges. |

| | Well I don't have kids... but friends can be just as bad!
I quickly learned to remove all downloading/installing priviledges a couple of years ago, when our poor PC was always crashing.
lol, some people just can't seem to resist downloading games and looking @ porn.
Now, me and my boyfriend both have our own laptops.
And I've enforced strict rules that my laptop is not to be touched... if my boyfriend's friends want to use a computer, they can mess up his.
Having a "guest" account helps prevent people from doing too much damage if they manage to sneak past me though :boxem: |
