| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | |

| | Hi - Newly Diagnosed
Hello, My name is Annie and I am new to this forum. I have found it a useful resource for PTSD. Thank you to it's creator.
So I guess I am supposed to add info here? I am the person with PTSD. I have been newly diagnosed (in the last 6 months or so). Don't know what else I need to say other than does posting here help? |

| | Welcome. Posting helps a lot as you put your thoughts into words. Reading the posts also helps BUT the best part is being with people that understand PTSD. Some here have PTSD and others are carers or friends.
(I am a friend). So if you have something you want to talk about, you post
away and get answers. |

| | It helps to know you aren't alone and to know that others feel the same way you feel. You learn that by reading the posts and posting to other posters. Welcome. |

| | Thanks I have read so many posts and can relate to so many of the things being said, only I feel the same things as so many here, yet my trauma seems minimal by comparison. Everything here seems so intense, I seem to be just floating through it.
I have so many questions but will need to figure out how to formulate them in a reasonable manner, so as not to be mocked. I am guessing depending on the question I will either have to create a new thread or add to another post...I liked it better as a 'lurking' girl :)
Thanks to all
