| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | | |

| | I didn't go off on the guy at the cell phone store who kept lying to me about the phone, my service, the cost, etc., etc., etc. Caught his arrogant ass in two lies and while the thought did cross my mind to make a scene there and embarrass the hell out of him:up-yours: (sure wouldn't have embarrassed me!), I just decided to turn around and walk out. Of course, the 20 or so foot walk out of the store didn't happen w/o some very loud and choice words being spoken...in front of all the customers there...
I HATE liars with a passion...and truly don't have any patience with them...of all the things I do because of PTSD, that's one I hope I don't lose! |

| | I did the dishes! I have not done that chore in forever, no energy. After that I actually dug in the deep freeze and found some chicken and added seasoning to it in the crock pot. Wow I am making dinner too. Then I started scrubbing counters and cabinet doors and sanatizing with bleach. No one else does this (I always did) and with white cabinets and white tile with white grout it can get pretty yucky looking. I was amazed I did it. Took a nap with little one and now I am about to go push a load of laundry through and pray I still retain enough energy to dye my hair.
I cannot remember the last time I have had this much energy, since stopping being heavily medicated. It has been all I can do to get out of bed and make sure the little one is fed and cared for. Big change I hope lasts. |

| | Got the seat covers back on the car today... about 3 hours worth of stuffing about, but got em on. 3 hours because they are custom made covers we had tailored when we brought the car new two years ago... so they needed a wash. Easy getting them off... not so easy putting them on. I fully understand why the car seat people had the car for a full day to make and fit them initially, and that spanned out to 12 hours of work on their behalf. Doh.
Gave the car a wash also... going out to get some shelving so I can clean the garage, and some more cubboard inserts so kerrie can put Boo's clothes away. Sorting, sorting, sorting... slowly the house comes together. |

| | I take fencing lessons as a way to help regain a lot of the physical strength I've lost. Plus a good sweaty workout helps me to forget a lot of things.
I missed the last two weeks lessons due to stressors going on on the last two Thursday nights. But I dragged my behind to class tonight (all I wanted to do was just go to bed when I got home from work) and took my lesson. Those two hours seemed to drag on and on, but I did it and I do feel better for it.
I'm glad I went. |

| | Read, took a nap, played chinese checkers with my son, played some topple with my daughter, insisted that the kids do their homework upon arriving home from school rather than allowing them to postpone it, and enjoyed time with husb. and aunt playing scrabble. Also, I spoke with my mother some on the phone. This was good because she's alone and lonely, and she didn't drive me nuts tonight. |

| | I pulled the garage apart and cleaned it, got some shelving for it yesterday, assembled all that, tidied it all up. Still a little bit more to go, but about 80% done. The rest I will stuff about with during the week. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
