| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | | |

| | I installed a plasma from another room into our bedroom today, replacing the old type tv we had on a mount in the cupboard... now we have wide screen all the time without having to go into the cupboard. I installed a new HD twin tuner combo DVD PVR into the cupboard for us, so the only thing we have to open the cupboard to do, apart from clothing, is to put a disk in the system if watching a DVD in bed. That was my job today.
Had to move a power outlet and antenna outlet to the top of the cupboard, which was a little stuffing about, but done. Now I have to fill and repaint the inside where the old TV was mounted and the switches I moved today. Do one new thing, create something else to fix. Go figure.... but I am proud of myself today as I thought it would take me two days to get this job done, but did it all in one solid day at it. |

| | Men who can fix and install things are HOT!
It looks really good. Your house is so different than ours... so new looking. Our house is Victorian, it's about 150 years old (at least) and everything looks really old fashioned. |

| | Looks awesome Anthony! Wow.
I stood up for myself today! I have a few, select, neighbors that have been bumming cigs every day. Now I live in housing too. Last time I checked I was just as poor as them. Well I've been getting fed up with it. So today (of course right in the middle of supper) I get a knock at the door. "Can I bum a few cigarettes?" I said no, you can't. I'm no longer bumming out cigs as I've gone through triple what I would have since I get hit up everyday. She tried to argue. I just stared at her. She left in a huff and I thought, GOOD!
Ha!

bec | Good for you. I know I stuggle with telling people no when they ask for things, mostly when they ask for free art. Took me a loooong time to be able to say no because it was considered a swear in my house as a kid. So the fact that you said no is something that I would think that you should feel proud of. Atleast in my opinion.
Well jaa ne

| | Well Bec.....
I guess you don't need to worry about that friend anymore. Although she probably wasn't really a friend to begin with.....
I won't preach......I have Kidney failure, and Emphysema. Smoked for 41 yrs. Quit cold turkey 5 yrs ago.
Glad that you stood up for yourself.

| | Hehe, the only person I call friend here is Ryan. The rest? well.. so far all leeches. It felt good saying no.. lol sad part is I wanted to two weeks ago but that whole fear of confrontation was getting in my way. I had to get really annoyed to overcome it! But I did it!
So what's next on the renovation list?

| | That's one thing I like about not smoking. When you are a smoker, it seems people are constantly bumming cigarettes or trying to! Aside from the fact that it's rude, cigarettes are sooo expensive here in Canada. As if you can afford to support anyone else's habit. God... Anyways I'm really glad you stood up for yourself Bec. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
