| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | | |

| | LOL Veiled...I used to love those days when the kids would strip down naked as a jay bird and run all over the house...mine would do it in a heartbeat, any chance they got...even run outside into the court we lived on so all the neighbors could see....laughing and giggling the entire time! <sigh> Oh, how I miss those days!!
I was very good today...got Warren a bowl of Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream and put some fudge grahams around it...gave it to him... wasn't even tempted myself! I put myself back on my low-carb diet because my blood pressure is creeping back up as my weight does also - the low carb diet is the only one I've ever lost weight on. I was GOOD!!!! |

| | I had a shiatsu treatment today.......all you guys should try one. Needed to release some of that lower back tension as baby is on the way down and tummy has dropped. Whacked the hell out of me. Got home from that and laid down with the little man for a nap. Apparently I slept more than Alexander did but at least he got some sleep. |

| | I finished listing my trauma(s). Though it doesn't feel good, it is in fact good. A great accomplishment. Allowed son's friend over for nice playdate. Allowed neighbors kids over to play with son, his friend and my daughter. Handed out creamsicles and choc. cov. vanilla icecream sticks late afternoon. Called well trusted babysitter over from 11:30 to 1:30 PM and went out. Practiced listening better to my husband when he wanted to talk. |

| | At last I've done something!!! I went this afternoon and talked to the priest at my new parish here in town....He was very easy to chat with!!! I found out that there's a small writing group here in town that one of the members attends....there's also always something going on at the Music Conservatory....and I offered to go interview parishioners so that I could put an article in the church newsletter about them....Also a couple of members are professors and are part of different ensembles....This is all neat stuff!!!!! I said it was okay for these members to give me a call so I can get more involved....I am especially looking forward to the writers group!!!! When I was in a poetry group many years ago....I wrote more poems!!! I am feeling that I'm getting more into Really Living Life!!!!! .....KEEPING THE PEACE |

| | Made delicious cinnamon buns. Yummm! I'm only allowed two a day since one of them is 50% of the recommended daily fat intake! |

| | i changed my bedsheets & washed them today. odd, but i get pleasure from managing to do these little things now and love the smell of clean sheets! all those little things i used to do on 'automatic' now take real thought & effort, sort of bit mechanical, but feels like a real achievement when done! |

| | I got a very good laugh tonight. So needed. It was a side splitter for me. It is so nice knowing I can still bust out a good one. Even made hubs wonder what was wrong with me. Thanks KimG! Now off to shower! | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
