| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | | |

| | Got the kids to school w/o incident. Went and washed my car and now home I am actually cooking breakfast for the little one. Hash browns, rolls, and eggs. Loving the withdrawls now that I can move! |

| | Peacefully sent children off to school today prepared and with no rush. Dropped some surprise jelly-beans into lunch boxes. Did 2 hrs. straight, of well needed housework before turning on computer. Smoked less while busy. Read response to trauma while crying and hugging tightly, with an occasional word or two, to my kids new stuffed Scooby-Doo dog that their dad won at the fairgrounds. May sound odd, but even went to the mirror and while calling myself my name, one I haven't used in years, reassured myself that I am a good person. Also, re-read trauma, as suggested, while avoiding smoking myself ill, rather hugging Scooby as if he was my best friend. Mailed 2 bills and about to get ready to go out.

| | Great stuff hope.... really great work. Regardless the size of achievements within our lives, we must note them all during these stages of trauma therapy... because any achievement is a great achievement at these times. |

| | This is unbelievable! I did: 6 loads of blankets, 1 duvet, 1 sleeping bag, 1 load of misc, bought two whole new bed sets, shopped for toilet paper and stuff, made all three beds, scrubbed the bathroom, scrubbed kitchen floor twice, dusted living room, switched tv's and packed up old one, gave other old tv away, cleaned out utility room, throw out piles of garbage (old boots and crap taking up space, cleaned off fridge, put out garbage, took car to garage, drove out to my dads and got car parts and new tv, fixed my dish, arranged with landlord to fix furnace and toilet seat, watched movie with son and yapped on the phone for over two hours with step mom!!
I have no idea what the hell hit me, but damn that feels good!!!
