| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | | |

| | Today for the first time since my youngest was born, I am enjoying my am by myself! For my b-day my hubby has taken over and I get to do whatever I want (yeah, right)! So, where do I find myself, when I could be doing ANYTHING? Here I am, in front of the computer - at the PTSD Forum, eating a piece of cheesecake for breakfast! Hope everyone else here can be so lucky |

| | Spent the afternoon and evening at fairgrounds with children and husband. Kids really enjoyed themselves. Ate fudge, went in the house of mirrors, pet the animals, ect. Generally felt more present and available to my kids needs. Rewarding but most challenging part was we saw and pleasantly spoke with 5 estranged family members. (Incl. 3 hugs). |

I have been estranged from my extended family now since my daughter was 6 months old (she's almost 14 now). One of these days I'll contact them again. Good job. |

| | I guess that I will put my day in here. I have placed a Intro in the intro thread so most of you know that story. One of the other things that I have been dealing with lately is a new 06 Mustang. I got the car in July, kind of a welcome home present for myself after my tour in Iraq. Before all the paperwork was finished, the company that I got the car from filed brankuptcy. Long story short is that they never got a creditor, so I am driving around in a new car with no payments. I used a trade-in on the new car. They have yet to pay it off. I called the state police and the brankuptcy lawyer in charge for the federal government and no one knows what the hell to do. The NJSP told me to keep driving the car untill the inspection expires, that is this month. When I called the lawyer he handed the phone over to a GM for another Ford Dealership. Personaly I couldnt stop the first initial thougt of WTF?
So that brings us to yesterday (Saturday), I had to go out and find another car that is pretty cheap. I wanted a cheap (but new) car so that when or if I start making payments on the Mustang it wouldnt hit on us financially. So I go for a test drive in a forenza and low and behold some DUMBA$$ M'er F'er goes and cuts me off! I lost it!!! I couldnt find the auto down button on the window so instead barked at it, and through it, as much as possible. Had the wife, kid and salesman in the car with me. Luckily the salesman was an old Nam vet. He understood and had stories of when he came back and would fly off the handle. The wife and kid are used to it for now when I drive.
Driving by far brings the absolute worse out in me. I go off the handle so damn much when people do the stupid things in a 5klb car hurtling at 60+ miles an hour. Do they not understand the theory of physics? Or do they think their indestructable in a more plastic then metal vehicle.
Is it me? or do you also lose your total cool when people fail to use common sense?
