| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | |

| | Just Wanted To Say Hello - PTSD, Bipolar and OCD Hi everyone... My name is Scott and 33. I was diagnosed with PTSD/Bipolar/OCD three years ago but have lived with bipolar and ocd all of my life and PTSD since i was about 9 years old. The only thing that i'm sure of is that life is very difficult and we can't do alone. We need support...people who listen and understand. Doctors only know what they've been taught by books and experience dealing with people with PTSD but i firmly believe that you cannot ever understand it unless you live it. So here i am...looking for new friends to share my experiences with...good and bad.
I look forward to your post and meeting all of you.
Sincerely,
Scott |

Welcome! PTSD since 9, that's young. That means a lot of suffering, especially if you weren't diagnosed with it til 30. Me too...on this very serious condition so young and diagnosis, so late. Hope you get out whatever you need to and want to here. Is truly a safe place...but we'all will let you find this out for yourself. Again, welcome and glad to have you here with us. |
