| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | | |

| | Am I Brave or "What" - Waxing For Charity Hi there, need some help from you girls out there.
A friend and I are considering getting our legs waxed for Charity. I'm thinking about doing mine for the Combat Stress Charity and my friend Russ is doing it for a Charity called Special Kids in the UK. It won't be until sometime this year. But I wanted you girls advice.
What is the least "Painless" way of getting it done, because we might be brave enough and get our chests done as well.
Come on girls, some advice please.
Thanks

| | Just a little bit Claire, but what the hell, I might give it a try, how do you do it, do you use the wax or shave.
Cheers

| | Wax...painless? Oh, you're a riot!!! LOL When I get my eyebrows done, it hurts like hell-but just for a few seconds. It's all in who's doing the waxing and how much skill they have. It's kinda like taking a band-aid off...one quick pull, stings like the dickens for a few seconds, but then it's pretty much over.
Ohh... and don't flinch.
Plenty of lotion or cream afterwards will help with the redness.
Nice to see a man getting a fuller understanding of the expression 'the price of beauty'. *grin* |
