| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | | |

| | Not the biggest romatic here... was once upon a time but I opted for old fashioned common sense and responsibility upon choosing my last hubs and tossed romace out. (romantic types I came across always romanced everyone else too!) I really try to forget Valentine's day... Hubs sure as hell does LOL. But I am used to it now.
I think I am more moved by break up songs. Like Dolly's "I will alway love you" (she did the original) or something like The Dance... who was that? Garth? Not big music listener. Hearing love songs makes me think of strip clubs. No all mushy of a thought lol...
If anything moves me it is a huge boquet of white diasies... seem so pure and innocent of a visuial for me. Those always make me feel nice as close to romantic as you can get, but nothing gets this engine fired up :) |

| | Hi Claire, Yes I need help? But my dear, so do you, Brian Harvey and such, or is it Bros, or 5 Star.
Veiled, I agree with you Dolly's version is a lot better. Whitney just belted it out, which it didn't need. Do you like Every thing I do by Bryan Adams.
Cheers

Love songs huh. . . .
Nope, not one.
All I can think of is Silverchair, Ana's song.
Although How the hell can a song about anorexia be classed as a love song?
Also Holding my last breath Evenescence
especially the first verse
'Hold on to me love
You know I can't stay long
All I wanted to say was I love you
And I'm not afraid'
Yup Luke, that one is for you. |

| | Bill Warren (can't remember who the girl was who sang it with him) singing '(I Had) the Time of My Life' from Dirty Dancing.
That song has always reminded me of me and my hubby.
I'm with Vieled about forgetting about Valentine's Day...too commercial. Romance (to me anyway) is him getting out of bed on a cold morning and making coffee. Or telling me to lay down, he's got dinner handled. The little day to day stuff is a lot more romantic to me than grand gestures. |
