Default PTSD From An Incident In College

Hello, everyone. I am here to give help, get help, and make friends. I have finally come to realize that PTSD doesn't have to be military-related. My PTSD stems from an incident in college, and I have been keeping it bottled up. Some things in my life are finally starting to make sense because they are tied to the incident. I am happy to have found this group.

Stuff about me: I am 44 and female. I am into NFL, music, movies, computers, trivia, board games, and travel. I am a teacher. I had Gastric Bypass Surgery on July 20, 2005, and I have lost 150 pounds. I have gone from a size 22 to a 4.

I look forward to knowing all of you.

PeaceAndLove

Hi... welcome to the forum. Yep, PTSD doesn't have to be military related, it is the first place PTSD became recognised, but is now widely recognised as a reaction to traumatic experience, which happens in all sorts of situations. I didn't realise this until a while ago myself.

See you around on the boards, I am sure :)

Lisa
